THE STEPS
1 - Take That Leap!
So, once you have connected with me, we'll do a little planning! We'll talk locations, dates, times, and all the fun stuff! Every package includes free access to my client closet, style guide, and online styling program to help curate options to everyone in your session! Don't worry, I'm there every step of the way to make sure you look and feel your best!
2 - adventure.
Now we're at the location, I'll guide and lightly prompt you throughout the experience. Don't worry about awkwardness, or not "knowing how to pose". We'll skip the cheesy, fake smiles and the goofy, stiff poses. I'll guide your family to creating playful interactions and heartfelt moments, showcasing your family's love and character through a relaxed, no rules, storytelling session.
3 - treasure!
After our session, you will receive a "soft gallery" in about a week, so you have total control over which images you choose to keep! This soft gallery consists of only lightly edited images! Once you've chosen your favorites, I'll hand edit them to full artistic standards and deliver them to you in roughly 2-3 weeks! After that, their yours to keep and treasure forever!

FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am currently based in Washington state and yes, I love to travel!
Travel fees are based on the current gas prices and miles round trip, if a shoot is further than 20 miles from Lakewood, WA.
Currently: 0.40 per mile
Do you do military discounts?
Yes, I apply a 10% discount for all military and first responders (with proof) to the base package - it does not include travel expenses, fees.
My family and I are serious supporters of those who put their lives on the line for our safety and freedom. We would like to thank you and your families for your service!
When will we get our photos?
My typical turn around time is 3 weeks. However, during my "busy season" galleries may take longer to edit which is why I also give sneak peeks within a few days of your session.
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 6 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story).
*Weddings and elopements turn-around times may differ from regular sessions.
Why is a photographer so expensive?
I get it, we show up to your event or a photoshoot, snap some pictures and leave, right? So, how come it's so expensive? Well, here are a FEW reasons why it's a larger investment - especially for weddings.
Behind the Scenes - What you're not seeing is the hours and hours of work behind the scenes. Here's just a TINY bit of some of the work that goes into it. Whether I'm shooting your elopement or a short portrait session, it takes hours of location scouting, consultations, driving to and from the location, ensuring I have the proper equipment for lighting and camera gear, amongst many other things as well to ensure we have the best possible shoot for the best possible pictures. Post-production consists of hours and hours of sorting through photos to find the best ones, individually editing and perfecting every image that I add to your gallery; adjusting lighting, color, imperfections and more.
Equipment - Without the proper tools, a photographer is unable to do their job to the best of their ability. And quality equipment is not cheap... Lenses, cameras and their maintenance is factored into costs. As technology grows, photographers have to invest in newer gear to maintain expected quality levels. Not to mention all the software and website costs...
We could go on forever about the time it takes to research and scout locations, poses, and new creative ways to make our photography better. Or costs of travel to and from locations, the props we bring, the costs of marketing and advertising or costs of education.
I want you to know that I understand it may seem like I show up, take some pictures, and leave but when you invest in me, you're investing in everything above and more. You're investing in QUALITY and EXPIERENCE. I truly love what I do and pour my heart into every session I do!
Can I have the RAW images?
Unfortunately, no. The RAW images are not a reflection of my work and style that I have taken countless hours to cultivate. Imagine if you ordered a cake, and the baker delivered you an uncooked, undecorated cake on the wedding day... that is what is like to give RAW images as a photographer!
Aside from that, RAW files are not actually image files and require special software to view, they cannot be printed without post processing, and are low contrast/not as sharp as the final product.
What kind of retouching is done to your photos?
I do what I call "soft retouching". Have a blemish that popped up the night before? I got you. You tripped and have a bruise on your shin? It's gone. I'll brighten eyes to enhance natural beauty, or soften skin. But really do my best to keep photos natural!
However, if it something that will not be gone in a week or two, I do not typically retouch/photoshop those. This includes scars, most tan lines (although I do soften them), body weight, digital makeup, facial feature correction, etc.
If this is something you're interested in, I can happily outsource images that I take to be retouched in that way at an additional charge per photo.
